Accommodation at Santa consists of four cosy, comfortably equipped, stone-walled cottages. Each of the cottages comfortably sleeps 6 people. Additional beds can be arranged for small children, with prior notice. Please contact us for pricing information. A minimum rate applies. Two of the four cottages are reserved for the exclusive use of the Santa Fly Fishing Syndicate. If you would like the cottage serviced during your stay, please advise us accordingly. Please note there is no wifi.
The Glen
The Glen is the most remote of Santa’s four cottages. It offers a clear view across the veld to a large dam a short distance away. Enjoy a cosy weekend with long walks, feeling like you’re the only people in the world. For hikers and bikers, and for bird and wildflower enthusiasts, this is the best cottage to book.
The cottage has three en-suite bedrooms, each with twin three-quarter beds. Each bedroom has a heater, and each bed has an electric blanket. Two of the bathrooms have both a shower and a bath. The third bathroom has a shower only. A sleeper couch is available for kids.
The open-plan lounge and dining room has a large fireplace. The kitchen has a 4-plate electric stove, an oven, and a microwave. There is a Weber but charcoal is not provided.
Bedding, towelling, soap and toilet paper are provided.
The Glen is accessed via a 4.1km stretch of dirt road. High clearance vehicles are recommended, but 4x4s are not necessary.
Lunsklip Lodge
Lunsklip Lodge is a perfect spot for families and friends. The Lodge, with its sloping lawn down to one of the three adjacent dams, is the most spacious of the Santa cottages. The three dams are in easy walking distance from the cottage, making this a wonderful spot for fishermen.
The cottage has three bedrooms, each of which has twin three-quarter beds. One room also has a bunk bed for kids. All the bedrooms have heaters, and all the beds, except the bunk bed, have electric blankets. One of the three bedrooms has a shower en-suite. There are two additional non-en-suite bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bath. The open-plan lounge and dining room has a large fireplace. The kitchen has a 4-plate electric stove, a coal stove, an oven, and a microwave. There is Weber but charcoal is not provided.
Bedding, towelling, soap and toilet paper are provided.
Lunsklip Lodge is accessed via a 3.9km stretch of dirt road. High-clearance vehicles are recommended.
Cascades Cottage

Cascades Cottage is a quaint stone cottage located near the entrance to Santa. The cottage is situated on the Lunsklip River, overlooking a small waterfall and a still-used, arched, stone railway bridge built by World War II prisoners of war. River fishing is almost possible from the cottage’s deck, but there are also a number of large dams within easy walking distance. Lovely walks, runs, and rides are possible from this cottage, and it’s an easy distance from the Santa entrance if you want to pop into town.
The main cottage consists of three bedrooms, each with twin three-quarter beds. One room also has a bunk bed for kids. All the bedrooms have heaters, and all the beds, except the bunk bed, have electric blankets. None of the rooms are en-suite, but there are two bathrooms in the main cottage, one with a shower and one with a bath.
Cascades Cottage also has an outside dormitory room, which is adjacent to the main cottage. The dormitory has four single beds and is en-suite, with a shower.

Cascades Cottage is accessed via a half a kilometre stretch of dirt road. Although a high-clearance vehicle is preferable, it’s not necessary.
Santa Lodge

Santa Lodge is located in a valley along the Lunsklip River, surrounded by forests, and overlooking a spectacular waterfall. There is lovely fishing available along the river, and it’s an easy drive to the main road into Dullstroom.
Santa Lodge consists of the main lodge, with one en-suite bedroom with a king size bed; an open-plan lounge and dining room, with a large fireplace; a second sun lounge; and a sizeable kitchen and scullery.
In addition to the main lodge, there are two outside cottages. The Annex is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom stone cottage. Each bedroom as twin three-quarter beds. One bedroom has its own fireplace. One bathroom has a shower, the other has a bath. The Beehive is a wooden cottage, with three single beds. It is en-suite, with a shower, and also has its own fireplace. As with the other cottages, each bedroom has a heater, and each bed has an electric blanket.
The kitchen is equipped with a 4-plate electric stove, an oven, and a microwave. There is a Weber but charcoal is not provided.
Bedding, towelling, soap and toilet paper are provided.
Santa Lodge is easy to access, with only a short stretch of dirt road down the drive.
